Michelle Branch was all of 18 years old when her debut album, 2001’s The Spirit Room, became a platinum seller, spawned three hit singles (“Everywhere,” “All You Wanted,” and “Goodbye to You”), and sold four million copies worldwide. The album, as well as 2002’s “The Game of Love,” Branch’s Grammy Award-winning smash single with Carlos Santana, established the Sedona, AZ, native as a young musical artist with a very grown-up talent. Following the release of her darker, more ambitious 2003 platinum album Hotel Paper — which featured the hits “Are You Happy Now?” and “Breathe” — and the birth of her daughter in 2005, Branch found herself at a crossroads. She put her solo career on hold to team up with Nashville singer/songwriter Jessica Harp to form the country music duo

The Wreckers, an inspired vocal and songwriting collaboration that was nominated for both a CMA Award and a Grammy Award.
The Wreckers released their debut album, the platinum Stand Still Look Pretty, in 2006 and their popularity helped establish Branch as a fixture on country radio, thanks to such winning tracks as the No. 1 “Leave The Pieces” and the Top Ten hit “My, Oh My.” But the pair decided to part ways just as their music was rising on the charts — an emotionally difficult time that Branch documents on her deeply personal six-song EP, Everything Comes and Goes, which was released in August 2010 as a gift to fans as she focuses on recording the follow-up to Hotel Paper. Branch is currently in the studio in Los Angeles working on the album.

I want to apologize for the lack of updates on here but my personal life is keeping me busy and I am second guessing if I should keep the site since Michelle is now mainly focusing on her ‘food’ career. I will catch up with missing updates as soon as possible.

“New music is on the way”

If you follow Michelle on twitter you know she has been working in the studio and writing with other songwriters for a months now. But we finally get some scoop on new music, she recently tweeted that new music it’s on the way, which hopefully means a new single/album/ep soon(ish).

New music is on the way, I promise. Too much to explain in 140 characters but believe me, I’m as anxious as you are :) xx

Philippines Concerts Post-Poned

N91Live announced that they post poned the Back-to-back concert in the Philippines was post poned. They announced in on their official facebook account. Go for more information to the facebook account.

Due to weather conditions we’ve decided to postpone @michellebranch and @JoJoistheway trip and shows. All purchased tickets including Meet & Greet passes will be honored at the new date. The planned Promo Tour & Concert venues remains unchanged. New date will be announced w/in 48 hrs. Thank You!

New 80′s themed photoshoot

We came cross two photos of Michelle during a 80′s theme photoshoot with photographer Brian Bowen Smith earlier this week. We are not sure it was for a magazine, or just for ‘fun’. Ariana Trinneer, Shea Bowen-Smith, Billy Howerdel and Connor Trinneer were also part of the shoot.

Update: We just realized Michelle tweeted about going to a 80′s themed party, so these photos are of her during the party. They probably just took some photos for fun.

Michelle joins Kelly Clarkson for “Leave the Pieces”

Kelly Clarkson gave a concert last night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and Michelle joined her on stage to perform the Wreckers hit “Leave the Pieces“. We tried to find the best videos of their performance, so you can find them below/inside.

Look like Michelle did another photoshoot with photographer Reid Rolls yesterday, who also shot the “West Coast Time” shoot, because she tweeted yesterday: “Had the best time shooting today with @reidrolls and @jorycordy Got to wear some awesome @steven_alan garb“.

Photographer Reid Rolls posted a on set photo of with Michelle on his twitter account. We are not sure for what the photoshoot was, but maybe they shot some additional photos for the “West Coast Time” promo? We are excited anyway, since we the first time Michelle & Reid collaborated.
